East Grinstead Town 3 – 3 Thamesmead Town

Saturday, 16th December

Although Mead made a significant advantage in the first half of the game, the match with third-bottom East Grinstead Town ended up in a draw.

Laurent Mendy scored on 5 minutes to give Mead a lead before a catastrophic own goal pulled the Wasps level on 30 minutes. Just before half time Bode Anidugbe restored the visitors` lead and only 9 minutes later Danny Parish made it 3-1 to Mead. But Jordy Mongoy on 67 minutes and substitute Marcus Elliott on 85 minutes managed to pull off the impossible and earn the Wasps a point.

Thamesmead Town 1 – 1 Corinthian Casuals

Saturday, 9th December

A bitterly cold Saturday at Princes Park saw Mead perform much better than the midweek derby defeat to Faversham Town.

For Casuals, the victory would have meant that they could end up first on the table, but this time the luck was not on their side. After a long struggle, on 70 minutes Danny Parish scored his seventh goal for the club. Unfortunately for the Mead, substitute Delgardo-Hibbert was given far too much time to waltz past an exposed Lewis Cary with a little less than ten minutes left to score an unexpected point for the visitors.

Thamesmead Town 2 – 3 Faversham Town

Wednesday, 6th December

Today we witnessed another dramatic finish at Princes Park, as the visitors snatched an agonising 93rd minute winner, prolongating the Mead’s winless run to four games.

After a monotonous opening half hour, Bode Anidugbe and Tom O’Connor made a brilliant combination for Tom to drive the ball home on 36 minutes. This had been a wakeup call for the visitors as well, and they started creating chances, with Lovell equalising from the penalty spot on the hour-mark. O`Connor restored Mead`s lead in the 75th minute, but was countered only 3 minutes later, by the young Luke Griffiths. In stoppage time, Griffiths was in the right place again and grabbed the winning goal.

Ashford United 4 – 1 Thamesmead Town

Saturday, 2nd December

Ashford United can boast their first win since the end of September in a game that ended far out of the Mead’s reach.

Richeford was the first to score, minutes after the opening. Responding almost instantly, Danny Parish drove home his sixth goal in nine games. Sadly, this was Mead’s only goal that day, despite creating numerous chances. The real hero for Ashford was Watters who put the home side back in front towards the end of the first half. The game was finalised within the final twenty minutes, with Watters netting two goals in three minutes.
